The road to hell is paved with good intentions 0 Comments July 14
If the above phrase is true, I’m well on my way there. At 120 kilometres per hour.
I haven’t posted anything in more than a month, but a lot has happened since then:
- We have accepted an offer on our house, but with the new credit act that was introduced on the 1st of June the buyers seem to be having a bit of trouble at the bank. Hope that gets sorted soon.
- We found a house in Cape Town that both of us love. Yay! We put in an offer and will be signing the transfer documents in the next week. Luckily we didn’t have any trouble with our bond application.
- Though I did make that friend I spoke of a while back, I now understand why some gay men prefer not to have any gay friends. Lots of accusations flying around of who’s going to end up sleeping with whom, etc. Honestly, I just wanted a friend.
I’m still deciding if I should look for a new full-time job down in Cape Town or if I’ll be able to get by on a full-time half-day job from my current employer and additional freelance web work. I would love to work from home.
I’ll get some more of those absolutely delightful poems up at some stage, but am currently busy with some freelance work (which I should be getting back to now).
